Atticus Finch Limited is committed to sustainable practices across all aspects of our television production activities. This policy outlines our commitment to minimising our environmental impact, promoting sustainable development, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, freelancers, and any other individuals working with or for Atticus Finch Limited. It covers all areas of our operations, including production, office management, and travel.

3. Policy Statement

We aim to:

  • Integrate sustainability into all aspects of our business operations.

  • Reduce our carbon footprint through energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

  • Minimise waste and promote recycling and reuse of materials.

  • Encourage sustainable practices among our employees, contractors, and partners.

  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and industry standards.

All employees, contractors, and freelancers are responsible for supporting and implementing this policy. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Management: Ensuring the policy is effectively communicated, understood, and implemented across the company. Providing training and resources to promote sustainability.

  • Employees: Upholding the principles of the policy and actively participating in sustainability initiatives.

 

5. Implementation

To implement this policy, we will:

  • Operate a hybrid working practice where employees work from home.

  • Reduce energy consumption by using energy-efficient equipment and practices.

  • Promote the use of sustainable materials and suppliers.

  • Implement waste reduction strategies, including recycling programs and composting.

  • Encourage sustainable transportation options for employees and production activities.

  • Recycling of used equipment through appropriate markets or schemes.

  • Provide training and awareness programs on sustainability issues.

  • Conduct annual environmental audits to identify areas for improvement.

 

6. Sustainable Production Practices

Atticus Finch is committed to incorporating sustainable practices into our production processes, including:

  • Using digital solutions to reduce paper usage.

  • Reduce the use of single use batteries on our productions

  • Choosing locations and schedules that minimise travel and transportation.

  • Implementing energy-efficient lighting and equipment on set.

  • Reducing single-use plastics and promoting reusable items.

  • Sourcing props, costumes, and set materials from sustainable sources.

  • Our Creative Producer has certification in Introduction to sustainability for the screen industries. 

 

7. Communication and Engagement

We will engage with our stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and audiences, to promote sustainability and encourage collaborative efforts. This includes:

  • Sharing our sustainability goals and achievements publicly.

  • Collaborating with industry partners to develop and share best practices.

  • Encouraging feedback and suggestions on sustainability from employees and stakeholders.

 

8. Monitoring and Review

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, technology, or company practices. Regular audits and feedback mechanisms will be in place to assess the effectiveness of this policy and ensure continuous improvement.
